Miss Columbia, Paulina Vegas last night won the title of Miss Universe for the year 2014, that was held in Miami, Florida. Vegas is a 22-year-old student of business administration from Barranquilla, Columbia. She said she felt like she was at home among the local Latinos. ''It felt like I was in Columbia with my people. I felt that support in every moment of the pageant''. She also said she would wear the crown with ''pride and excitement'' when she heard that fans in Columbia had taken to the street to celebrate during a press conference after the competition.
Her runner-ups were Miss USA, Nia Sanchez and Miss Ukraine, Diana Harkusha. Ghana didn't make it to the top five even, shame huh?
