'I Don't Feel Safe'- Frank Rajah Reveals Why He Left Ghana
One of the best movie directors we have in Ghana has left the country on the account that he feared for his life; he didn't feel safe anymore. Frank Rajah revealed in an interview with News One that over the years that he had been living in Ghana, he has been attacked several times, but on all occasions his pen drives and hard drives were the items always being taken away from him. Which he found very strange.
He narrated that, one time, they took only his external hard drive leaving his phones.
“I went home on different occasions to see my things scattered in my room. They never stole anything and I don’t know what they were looking for. One time too I was driving in town and they stopped [me] and searched my bag and took my hard drive containing my movies. I had my phones with me but they never took them. It was strange and I couldn’t believe it. It didn’t just happen once. I don’t feel safe,”
Frank Rah who has stayed in Ghana for well over a decade has directed movies such as 'Somewhere In Africa', Princess Tyra', and a host of others. He has also introduced a lot of the stars that we all know in Ghana today.
It's an unfortunate thing to call a country your home for over a decade only to leave because you do not feel safe. Sad.
