"NMA is an annual music Awards scheme organised to support our hardworking Northern musicians.
NMA stands for Northern Music Awards. For the maiden edition, we are
starting with 11 categories plus 16 honorary awards for those who have,
in diverse ways, contributed to the development of Northern Music. We are working hard to add all the necessary categories in the
subsequent years and possibly add underground/unsung category for the
benefit of the upcoming Northern Musicians." Source -NMA

Remember the time I told you Rihanna had a new song titled 'FourFiveSeconds', with Kany West and Sir Paul McCartney. Well, yesterday, she released the video to the song, and it's different. No out of this world setting, no change in wardrobe, minimalist make up, and it's in black and white. Before I forget, she will be premiering the video on Grammy night; the same night the R8 will be dropping (that is the rumour going around). The Grammy Awards finally confirmed that she will be performing together with Kanye and Paul McCartney. So keep watch all you #RihannaNavy. Check the video out
D'Banj released the remix version of his song 'feeling The Nig**' with American singer and entrepreneur, Akon. The video was premiered at his 10th anniversary celebration party, which was hosted by Amber Rose, ex wife of rapper Wiz Khalifa.
Yemi Alade has released the video of her song 'Taking over me' with Phyno. The video was shot in both South Africa and Nigeria. Justin Campos and Taiye Aliu directed the video. Y'all should check it out, shaa. Yemi is one talented songstress.
Wiz Khalifa's baby mama was at Nigerian artist D'Banj's party as the host of the show. She showed of her dancing skills in this video doing the 'Shoki', a dance made popular by Nigerian artist, Lil Kesh. Watch the video below. Is she dancing 'shoki' or what?
When J.Cole hit the big screens with his rap career, I was skeptical...I mean I know his deep and all, but at that point he looked like a slow person to me. How wrong I am, and he proved me wrong yet again with the release of his new album '' Forest Hill Drive''. He performed the song ''Be Free'' of off his latest album on David Letterman last night, which was filled with emotions just beyond anything I've heard from this rapper.
To make it more triumphant, he has sold over 300,000 copies in less than a week and this could help him snag his third #1 on the Billboard 200 charts. #winning This particular track was influenced by the killing of Mike Brown. Another interesting fact, he dropped this album with little to no promo at all, he was just relying on his talents and his fans, and I must say, they didn't disappoint.
He sent out these tweets after his performance on Letterman:
